CHAMPS SPORTS EXCLUSIVE: JORDAN RETRO5 INSPIRED

During a NYC Design Lab Session with CHAMPS SPORTING GOODS, I sat with the buyer to come up with several innovative concepts that would be exclusives for the store. This specific design was inspired by the NIKE AIR JORDAN RETRO 5s coming out in June 2015. Fun quick project. Helps that the buyer was cool.

9FIFTY ORIGINAL FIT SNAP BACK:

Faux Leather front Panels, Poly mids and rears, Speckled pattern visor, two toned snap back, and a multicolored front Chicago Bulls logo. Since the front logo is multicolored, it has to be cured. I put a tonal logo on the rear near the snap.

For a minute there, we were going to do socks too! The first one was going to be sublimation with the speckled print. The second was just going to incorporate the gradients in the shoe.

Note that sometimes, we have to do through several itterations of the logo to see which will work with the colors that need to be used. I also had to make sure we used the right faux leather to match the texture of the shoe.
